The present paper is concerned with the application of the Dual Boundary Element Method in dynamics for the determination of the strain in plates subject an external impact load. The use of the Laplace Transform in the boundary element method allows us to determine with precision the values of the strain inside the structure under study for each frequency selected. This precisely strain determination, together with the formulation of the couple piezoelectric effect for the sensor used, possibly the proposal of a new methodology of health monitoring of structures dynamically loaded.Downloads
